Meditation

“ And one of the scribes came up and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that he answered them well, asked him, “Which commandment is the most important of all?” Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12: 29-31)

Prayer Points

● Ask for the Holy Spirit’s breaking in with power and might into global issues of unresolved animosity and bitterness that have festered for generations eg. Native Americans, host people of North America, have been severely wounded by government, the Church and society. (Matt 18:21-35)

● Ask for public illumination of corporate injustices leading to acknowledgment, honest confession that will lead to healing of injuries, release of offenses, reversal of old hatreds and reconciliation (Matt 5:21-24)

● Ask that the Lord would raise up special messengers and agents of corporate healing with the anointing and blessing of the peacemakers, those who will sacrificially step into the gap, break the impasse and facilitate worldwide reconciliation for corporate sins and injustices (Matt 5:9)

● Ask for an awakening among global spiritual leaders toward denominational and cultural reconciliation that opens the floodgates of revival and brings healing to the nations (2 Tim 2: 24)

● Pray for a softening of hearts toward open acknowledgement of sin, changing attitudes and performing just actions (Matt 7:1-5)

● Ask for divine orchestration of events in the coming days where any offended subcultures in society have an opportunity to express regret and/or extend forgiveness (Matt 18: 15-17)

● Ask for divine illumination to the uncovering of ancient and modern wounds of injustice, pride and prejudice so that we may pursue healing without self-righteous accusation or dishonest cover-up (James 5:16)

● Proclaim jubilee and the fulfillment of the redemptive purpose that God has placed in every culture, people and nation! (Isaiah 61:1-2)
